Return, Exchange & Refund Policy
At Sutraved, each garment is thoughtfully handcrafted and produced on a made-to-order basis. As a result, our return, exchange, and refund policies differ by product segment. Please read the following guidelines carefully before placing your order.
Festive & Occasion Wear
All festive and occasion wear styles are made-to-order and crafted specially upon confirmation of your purchase. Therefore, returns and exchanges are not accepted for this segment.
Alterations – Festive & Occasion Wear
- Alteration requests must be raised within seven (7) days of delivery.
- Shipping charges for sending the product to Sutraved must be borne by the customer.
- Alterations are subject to feasibility, which means only minor sizing or fitting adjustments may be possible depending on the garment design, fabric, and margins available.
Damaged or Incorrect Product – Festive & Occasion Wear
- Customers must contact us within 24 hours of delivery.
- Clear photos and a mandatory unboxing video are required.
- Claims without an unboxing video may not be eligible for replacement or refund.
- After verification, a replacement or refund will be processed only in case of a damaged, defective, or incorrect item.
- Sutraved reserves the right to make the final decision regarding any return, exchange, or refund request.
Cash on Delivery – Festive & Occasion Wear
- Cash on Delivery (COD) is not available for festive and occasion wear products.
Everyday Wear (Kurtas, Dresses, Daily Styles)
Products under Everyday Wear are made-to-order but can be restocked and therefore qualify for limited returns and size exchanges.
Returns – Everyday Wear
- Return requests must be raised within three (3) days of delivery.
- Products must be unused, unworn, unwashed, and returned with original tags, packaging, and invoice intact.
- Refunds for returns are issued only in the form of store credit.
- Store credit will be valid for one (1) year from the date of issuance.
- A reverse pickup charge of ₹150 will be deducted from the store credit amount.
- Returns are processed within 7–10 working days after the product is received and passes quality inspection.
- We reserve the right to refuse returns if the item is not in its original condition.
Size Exchanges (Size Only) – Everyday Wear
- Size exchange requests must be raised within three (3) days of delivery.
- Exchanges are available only for size and not for style, design, or different products.
- Exchanges are subject to stock availability; if the requested size is unavailable, store credit will be issued.
- Multiple items within the same order may be exchanged together; however, only one exchange request per order is allowed.
- Reverse pickup for one size exchange per order is free of charge.
- Exchanges are processed within 7–10 working days after the returned product passes quality inspection.
- We reserve the right to refuse exchanges if the item is not in its original condition.
Reverse Pickup & Self-Shipping – Everyday Wear
- Reverse pickup service is available only in serviceable PIN codes.
- If reverse pickup is unavailable, customers will be required to self-ship the product to Sutraved.
- Customers are advised to use a reliable courier service and ensure secure packaging, as Sutraved will not be liable for parcels lost or damaged in transit during self-shipping.
- Pickup and delivery timelines may vary depending on courier operations and service availability.
Damaged / Defective / Incorrect Product – Everyday Wear
- Customers must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
- Clear photos and a mandatory unboxing video are required.
- Without an unboxing video, damage or defect claims may not be eligible for replacement or refund.
- After verification, a replacement or monetary refund to the original payment method will be processed only for damaged, defective, or incorrect items.
- Sutraved reserves the right to make the final decision regarding any return, exchange, or refund request.
Cash on Delivery (Partial COD) - Everyday Wear
We offer Partial Cash on Delivery (COD) for customer convenience.
- To place a COD order, customers are required to pay an advance of ₹399 via online payment at the time of placing the order, and the remaining amount will be paid at the time of delivery.
Delivery Attempts & Returns
- Courier partners usually attempt delivery up to three times.
- If the customer is unavailable after three delivery attempts, the order will be returned to origin (RTO).
In such cases:
- The ₹399 advance paid is non-refundable.

If the customer wishes to have the order shipped again, they may:
- Pay the full order amount online, after which the order will be shipped again without additional shipping charges, or
- Pay the applicable delivery charges for re-shipment based on the delivery location and the remaining amount will be paid at the time of delivery.
- If the delivery address is incorrect or the customer is unavailable again at the time of delivery, we will not be able to attempt another re-delivery.
- In such cases, the ₹399 advance amount or shipping charges will not be refunded.
Common Policies for All Products
- All products must be returned in unused, unworn, and original condition with tags and packaging intact.
- Items showing signs of wear, washing, stains, perfume, or damage will not be accepted.
- Minor variations in color, print, embroidery, or texture are natural characteristics of handcrafted products and are not considered defects.
- Slight variations in color, weave, or design are inherent to handcrafted products and are not considered defects.
- Store credit is non-transferable, cannot be encashed, and can only be used for purchases on the Sutraved website.
- Reverse pickup may not be available in certain PIN codes or remote locations.
- Delivery and pickup timelines may vary depending on courier operations and external factors.
- Sutraved reserves the right to make the final decision regarding any return, exchange, or refund request.
